PRO Herpetology is a family-run consultancy specialising in professional herpetological support, enclosure rebuilds, husbandry improvement, and behavioural guidance for reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates.

For over 30 years, we’ve combined hands-on herpetoculture with formal study across herpetology, animal care, exotic animal management, entomology, and related fields — helping keepers create environments where their animals can do more than simply exist.

Over the years, we’ve supported keepers of all experience levels with enclosure optimisation, behavioural troubleshooting, dietary planning, feeding management, handling advice, supplementation guidance, and practical health and welfare support.

Herpetology is the scientific study of reptiles and amphibians. Herpetoculture is the practice of keeping and caring for them. We work in both worlds — combining evidence-based understanding with real-world experience (and spending an unreasonable amount of time talking about UV lighting, humidity gradients, and interpreting the judgemental stare of a bearded dragon).

We believe reptile keeping should go beyond basic survival. With the right environment, husbandry, and support, reptiles and amphibians can display incredible natural behaviours and truly thrive in captivity.
